Who are we ?

St. John's and St. James' are the two church buildings in the parish of Stratford, St. John with Christ Church and St. James, but they are very different buildings.

St. John's is a church everyone can find; it is a prominent building in the centre of Stratford, on main bus routes, and floodlit at night.

St. James is much smaller, not on a bus route, and not visible from a few yards away.

St. James is a warm fellowship of people who aim to show the love of the Lord Jesus Christ in their lively worship, their relationship with each other, and their service to the community.

Most of our members live nearby; a few travel some distance to be with us because St. James' is where they know they belong. You are welcome to visit us and meet them!

Where is that ?
We are at the Cemetery Road end of St. James' Road, backing on to what was the site of Newham Maternity Hospital. There is a sign for St. James' Church at the other end of St. James' Road, in Forest Lane.
