St John's Church, Stratford, E15 Darren McIndoe

[Photo of Darren McIndoe] Darren McIndoe has been Curate at St Johns since July 2006. He is also part of the Newham Fairtrade Campaign, and on the Steering group of Faithful Friends - a group that aims to bring people of different faiths together to learn about one another.

In the dim and distant past, Darren received a BA in Church History and English from St David's University College, Lampeter. More recently, he received a BA in Theology and an Advanced Diploma in Urban Theology from Trinity College, Bristol - where he trained for the ministry.

Before moving to Bristol, Darren lived on the edge of the New Forest. He worked at a residential school for boys with Asperger Syndrome, as a Senior Learning Support Worker.

Darren's final year in Bristol was spent on placement at Easton Christian Family Centre, where he had a range of responsibilities including PCC, Youthwork, Leading and Preaching at services.

Darren's interests include gadgets, keeping up with recent films, reading, music and eating chocolate (the latter led to him winning a trip to America in spring 2006).

Darren was ordained Deacon at Chelmsford Cathedral on July 2nd, 2006, and ordained Priest at St Mary's, Woodford on June 29th 2007.
