James Maddern was Curate at St John's from 2002 to 2006.

St John's was his first posting after leaving Wycliffe Hall theological college, Oxford.

He was married to Katie here at St Johns in September 2005.

After leaving St. John's he and his wife set out on an overland mission from London to South Africa & a missionary post in Mozambique

In June 2009 he became Team Vicar at Brize Norton, Oxfordshire.
